The LOWA Z-8N GTX C is a high-cut tactical boot for demanding terrain, suitable for both work and military use as well as hiking and hunting. It combines the support of a mountain boot with the lightness and flexibility of a patrol boot, making it well suited to special operations and long marches with heavy loads. The Z-8N GTX C is the certified version of the model, approved as occupational footwear in accordance with the EN ISO 20347:2012 standard.
The approximately 20 cm high shaft is made from 2.0–2.2 mm thick, water-repellent nubuck leather and durable Cordura, which resists abrasion and mechanical damage. The GORE-TEX membrane keeps feet dry while remaining highly breathable, even during strenuous activity.
The dual-injection DuraPU midsole absorbs impact and remains comfortable even during prolonged wear, while LOWA’s patented Monowrap frame construction provides additional lateral support. The inner edge of the sole has a separate abrasion protector for fast-roping. The Climate Control insole protects the foot from moisture and chafing, and the LOWA Tactical Z Trac rubber outsole provides grip on varied surfaces.
The closed hooks and lace loops allow a precise fit and do not snag on equipment, while the stiffened heel counter supports the foot in motion. The rubber toe cap protects the front of the boot, and the heel pull loop makes the boots easier to put on and take off. The boots are antistatic. Extend their service life by regularly caring for and waterproofing them with products intended for leather.
