What is the Sordin Supreme X2 Neckband Gel?

A low-profile active hearing protector with a textile-covered neckband, AUX input, and sound amplification function. A high-quality and easy-to-use level-dependent hearing model, thanks to its push-buttons, making it the most ideal choice for hunting, shooting, tactical situations, and demanding professional use. The model features silicone gel ear seals, which ensure comfort even during prolonged use.

What sound profiles does Sordin Hear2 offer?

Sordin Hear2 sound profiles allow you to easily select the most suitable operating mode for the situation using the buttons on the side of the cup.

  • Hunter: Hunting and general use mode. Widely suitable for most applications, making use pleasant and efficient.
  • Shooter: Shooting range mode. In this profile, you can concentrate on your performance without being disturbed by surrounding events. This mode is also recommended when using earplugs with the X2 at the same time in Dual-Protection mode.
  • Focus: High amplification and alertness mode. Wider frequency range, allowing you to accurately hear even faint sounds. Can be used with earplugs for maximum protection.
  • Ambient Off: Hearing function off, but AUX communication still active. Passive hearing protection. Suitable for situations requiring maximum concentration.

What are the attenuation values and how does Dual-Protection work?

The thin cup design is suitable for both right- and left-handed shooters and eyeglass wearers, and also works well with a rifle stock. With standard Silicone gel ear seals, the attenuation values are SNR 29 dB, H 31 dB, M 27 dB, L 22 dB, and NRR 23 dB.

In Dual-Protection use, when Sordin SoftEar earplugs are used underneath (measurements with M/L size plugs), attenuation increases to SNR 40 dB, H 38 dB, M 39 dB, and L 37 dB. The level-dependent hearing function allows environmental sounds, such as warning signals, vehicles, and important announcements, to be heard safely, as the maximum output level is limited to 82 dB. Fast recovery time restores normal sound immediately after a shot.

What connectivity and protection features does the device have?

A 3.5 mm AUX input for external audio sources allows easy connection of external devices, such as a hunting radio, walkie-talkie, mobile phone, or other communication device. Audio feedback indicates active functions and reports a low battery level. Durable electronics are protected from moisture by several layers of protective lacquer, and automatic power-off switches off the device after four hours. Water-resistant microphones ensure reliable operation even in demanding conditions.
