The shirt fabric is IR-reflectivity tested (NIR compliant): The University of Maribor in Slovenia has tested the material at 700-1400 nm wavelengths (near-infrared). The reflection values have been optimized to match the Finnish environment, ensuring that the pattern remains effective and broken up even when viewed with night vision devices.
The M05 pattern colors (light green, dark green, brown, and charcoal grey) reflect infrared light at different levels (approx. 8-54 %), which prevents the figure from standing out as a uniform surface. The material meets M05 RES compatibility, i.e., the high quality requirements set for reservist use and professional equipment manufacturing.
The fabric also features a durable water repellent (DWR) treatment that protects against moisture and dirt without compromising the fabric's breathability or infrared properties.
